Auckland Bible Church (ABC) was established in 1991 with a vision to faithfully teach and preach God’s word as revealed in the scriptures. The church occupied various locations in the Greenlane, Penrose, and Epsom areas before moving to a purpose built auditorium at 300 Great South Road in 2010. In 2004 ABC successfully planted an independent church, Botany Life, now known as Summit Church, Botany. ABC is a member of Christian Community Churches of New Zealand (CCCNZ) and maintains close ties with Auckland’s tertiary student ministries, as well as partnering with missionaries serving both locally and overseas. In August 2020 ABC formally merged with Ngaire Avenue Bible Church (NABC). NABC was first established in 1883 in Parnell and moved to 3 Ngaire Ave in 1925, where a chapel was built. NABC has had a strong history and tradition of church planting as well as supporting local and overseas missionaries for over 120 years. The merger of ABC and NABC has seen the two congregations combine resources and commitment in the belief that more can be achieved together rather than apart. The merger has enabled both existing and new ministries to flourish under our shared values and mission to make God’s name known among the nations.
